It's All in the Details: But where exactly are they in downtown Charleston?

In the first part of this week, thegazz.com photoblog DowntownWV turned its attention to the Huntington streets, in its ongoing quest to document life in urban West Virginia. Starting now, attention shifts back to Charleston with photos by guest artist Mark Wolfe, featuring architectural details downtown, keyed to an exhibit now on view at Taylor Books, 226 Capitol St. DowntownWV blogger Walker DeVille turns the blog over today and tomorrow to some photos from that exhibit, "It's All in the Details ...," put together by Wolfe and Amy Williams.

The photos highlight interesting,
often unnoticed architectural and sculptural details in Charleston. Wolfe and Williams combined a love of local history and the hidden art in our midst by photographing more than 15 details that can be found by walking around downtown. View many of the exhibit's photos here and try to figure out their location and comment upon your findings. See all the photos at the Taylor Books gallery, where fliers will be available to help art seekers search out where the details can be found. A reception for "It's All in the Details" takes place at Taylor's during the Thurdsay, July 13 ArtWalk downtown from 5 to 8 p.m. For more information, call 342-1461.
