Downtown Detail: Water, water

Water, water, everywhere. But exactly where is it flowing downtown?

A reception for all the photos on the "It's All in the Details" exhibit (from which this photo comes) takes place at Taylor's during the Thursday, July 13 ArtWalk downtown from 5 to 8 p.m. Call 342-1461.

Serious readers often check out this fountain. I remember when this fountain was dedicated. I thought it was the ugliest thing I'd ever seen. It's grown on me over the years.

I'm glad it grew on someone. I STILL think it's the ugliest thing in Charleston. Maybe when they build the new library they can add a "museum" and stick this in it.

Sculpture in front of library, former Federal Building. I thought it was ugly, too, until I learned it represents WV / Kanawha Valley mountains, valleys, and streams. Seeing it in that light, I now enjoy it.
