Downtown Detail: Tubing

No, it's not the platinum
version of the Oscar Meyer Weiner Truck. But what is it and -- as important -- where can it be found in downtown Charleston?

A reception for all the photos on the "It's All in the Details" exhibit (from which this photo comes) takes place at Taylor's during the Thursday, July 13 ArtWalk downtown from 5 to 8 p.m. For more information, call 342-1461.

Not as old as it looks, this was installed on the building during a recent renovation, If I'm not mistaken.

I remember this building best as Paranzino's.

It's at 814 Quarrier St

When realcorp removed the Paranzino's signage during renovation it revealed really cool etched Schwabe-May sign.

A few weeks later they covered it up with the painted fiberglass you see in that picture.
