Curious by Nature has keen eyes, being as s/he is so curious and aces a 2nd Quizscape with her/his correct identification of these corbels as belonging to the building at left at 812 Quarrier St. I was standing in front of the little shoe shop on Quarrier, in response to his/her query (merde upon these gender-less pseudonyms!) in the comments to the original Quizscape photo below.

I(female) actually saw the angle this morning from which it was shot. I was in the Sub Shop and happened to look out the window. Since I work on the corner of Quarrier and Hale I see this architecture quite frequently. Who can miss the green painted window/door frames?????
I, Walker, award you, Curious Female, the Order of the DowntownWV Eagle with a Silver Cross for Architectural Attentiveness. One does hope they glued that corbel on tight with superglue. It looks awfully precarious up there.
